After graduating from college Mary Rose Young set up her own workshop in her home area of Gloucestershire. There she set about developing what has now become known as her unique decorative style Now she makes decorative pottery in her studio in the Forest of Dean. She draws upon a mixture of influences in her quest to produce the ultimate piece of eye-catching treasure. She has a large number of devoted admirers and receives many orders for her work. In order to fulfil them she works with a team of 6 people every day in an extension she has built on her house. "My inspiration springs from a desire to create a world of exuberance, playfulness and humor. All the pottery is made at my home in the West country where I work with a small team of artists who I call "The Potting Pals". I get a lot of pleasure imagining my pieces winging their way around the world and giving off the positive energy fundamental in their creation."
