New Brownie shop Baked in the Shire opens in Gloucester

1 July 2022 Shout Out

Having now established multiple contracts and supplying to local cafes, it only made sense for the next step to be to open a shop and kitchen.

Through the unexpected hardships of the pandemic, Hannah Stevens certainly didn’t expect to come out the other side with a successful business.

After being made redundant from her job, Hannah decided to get back into baking, having learned tips and tricks from her Grandmother, Olive.

Starting off with baking a few favourites for close family and friends, word quickly spread of Hannah’s delectable treats in the form of brownies and blondies. She became engulfed in a sea of orders for her box of nine brownies with a variation of flavours.

Hannah has already established multiple contracts and supplying to local cafes, it only made sense for the next step to be to open a shop and kitchen.

Having worked out of her home kitchen for the majority of lockdown, Hannah has now opened her first shop on Worcester Street in Gloucester, open Monday to Friday 9.30am – 2.30pm and shorter opening times on Saturdays.
